Camp Allen[1], formerly Camp Elmore,[2] is a small United States Marine Corps base in Norfolk, Virginia, a satellite of the Naval Station Norfolk.[3] It is home to both the 1st and 3rd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Companies [4]. The base also houses a supply warehouse, battalion aid station, and a motor transport unit. All units are members of the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion, also headquartered in Norfolk at the nearby Naval Station Norfolk.
In 2008, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion became Marine Corps Security Force Regiment.
It is currently commanded by Colonel Barton Sloat. The MCSFR oversees numerous battalions around the globe who aid and provide assistance in a wide array of military and humanitarian endeavors.
